IELTS is the high-stakes English test for study, migration or work. The acronym stands for International English Language Testing System.

General Information
Format d'esame - L’esame testa 4 diverse abilità: Listening (30 minuti), Reading (60 minuti), Writing (60 minuti) e Speaking (11-14 minuti). Ogni prova è formata da diverse tasks.
Esito : British Council invierà un link alla vostra email dopo circa 3-5 giorni dall’esame. Essa conterrà le credenziali per leggere l’esito del candidato. Tutte le informazioni sull'ottenimento del certificato saranno inoltrate via e-mail.
Cosa portare all'esame : Accertati di portare con te il documento con cui ti sei registrato all’esame. IH Palermo Language Centre (via Albanese 15) ti fornirà il materiale necessario per svolgere le varie prove (matite, carta, etc).
Scadenza: L'esame scade dopo due anni. Quando si apprende una lingua è necessario mantenere costantemente il livello. Inoltre, è normale, è umano ed è comune che non esercitando una lingua per tanto tempo il livello scenda; ovviamente non è necessariamente così, ma resta tra le possibilità. Di conseguenza, senza una certificazione recente, il datore di lavoro o l’istituzione universitaria non potranno essere propriamente certi del livello dell’impiegato o dello studente.
Costo: L’IELTS ha un costo di € 254 + marca da bollo (sia Academic che General Training).
Disabilità: IELTS garantisce che il livello di inglese sarà giudicato in modo oggettivo ed onesto, a prescindere da qualunque disabilità o disturbo dell’apprendimento. E’ necessario inviare, almeno sei settimane prima del test, la documentazione medica del candidato all’indirizzo email esami@britishcouncil.it In base alle necessità sarà deciso l’intervento ed il supporto da poter fornire al candidato.
